Prayer for Leitrim Diaspora

We remember the people of Leitrim who emigrated from here during difficult times.
We pray for those who left our county and parish during famine times, never to see home again.
We remember our Leitrim family members and friends who departed in more recent times in search of a better life, and died abroad.
We pray also, for our young people who are still choosing the route of emigration.
We give thanks for the modern communications that have made it easier to stay connected to home.
On this weekend – we gather our Leitrim diaspora everywhere into our hearts and minds.

Call to Praise – Saturday 26th April

Fr. Pat Collins has called us to join in praise over cities, towns and the areas where we live. It is God’s plan that these places should be a testimony of His power, healing and abundant life.

β€œNow my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in these places – my eyes and my heart will always be there.”
β€” 2 Chronicles 7:15–16

πŸ“ Famine Graveyard, Mullagharve
πŸ•’ Saturday 26th April at 3.00 p.m.
Everyone is invited. Bring family, friends or neighbours from other Christian denominations.
