At present, we have a serious shortage of volunteers to count the Offertory Collection each Sunday.
If you would be willing to help with the counting of the Offertory Envelopes, please enter your name on the list provided on the table at the back of the Church, choosing whichever month is most suitable for you.
If you are already an Offertory Counter, please also enter your name again on the sheet beside the month in which you currently count.
If we can have two counters for each month, each person will only need to count for one month per year.
Your help with this important parish task would be greatly appreciated.

The event coincides with Mary’s Meals’ 14th Annual Walk, which takes place from 7th–15th August, with walkers setting out from eight starting points across Ireland and making their way to Knock Shrine over nine days.

Invitation to Tender – Internal Painting of St. Brigid’s Church, Drumcong
St. Brigid’s Parish invites tenders from suitably qualified and insured painting contractors for the complete internal painting of St. Brigid’s Church, including all walls, doors where required, and stairs.
Tender submissions must include:
All cleaning work required ahead of painting, with associated costs.
A detailed price breakdown for all works.
Details of paint products/brands to be used and whether they are included in the tender or supplied separately.
Confirmation of all preparation work included.
Confirmation that all labour, materials, equipment, access equipment (where required), protection of furnishings, and site clean-up are included in the tender.
Estimated duration of the works.
Evidence of current Public Liability and Employer’s Liability Insurance.
All materials used must be of high quality and suitable for use in a church environment.
The Parish reserves the right to accept or reject any tender and is not obliged to accept the lowest or any tender submitted.

Blessing of Graves in Drumcong will take place on Sunday 2nd August 2026, immediately after the 11.30 a.m. Mass.

This year’s Rock Mass will take place on Monday, 3rd August at 12.00 noon.
We know that during Penal Times in our area, the Franciscan Priests were the ones who risked their lives to bring the Sacraments to the people and to celebrate Mass at this Mass Rock. They kept the flame of faith burning during very difficult times of persecution.
It is very fitting, therefore, that during this Jubilee year marking the 800th anniversary of the death of St Francis, the day will have a Franciscan focus and Mass will be celebrated by a Franciscan Priest.
The annual Portiuncula Mission in the Poor Clare Convent will take place on the preceding days.
