The Working Document for the Irish National Synodal Assembly, taking place in Gormanston, Co. Meath, on 17th October, brings together the fruits of five years of prayer, listening and discernment.
The document will guide delegates as they consider and vote on suggested actions to be presented to the Bishops of Ireland.
While the Assembly marks an important moment in the journey, the Synodal Pathway is now moving towards a new phase of implementation.
Everyone is invited to read, pray with and reflect on the Working Document and the important question:
“What does God want from the Church in Ireland at this time?”
Please pray for all those taking part in the Assembly and for the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Supporting the Mission of the Church Worldwide
Next Sunday, 18th October, is Mission Sunday.
On this special day, the Church sets aside time to pray for and support the Mission of the Church throughout the world.
Special prayers will be offered for the Missions, and a collection will be taken up to support poorer parishes across the world.
💌 Mission Sunday Donations
Mission Envelopes are available at the entrances to both churches.
You are invited to:
Take a Mission Envelope home and return it with your donation next weekend.
Alternatively, use your own envelope, clearly marked “Mission Sunday.”
Last year, the Diocese of Ardagh and Clonmacnois contributed €26,000 to the Mission Collection.

Invitation to Tender – Internal Painting of St. Brigid’s Church, Drumcong
St. Brigid’s Parish invites tenders from suitably qualified and insured painting contractors for the complete internal painting of St. Brigid’s Church, including all walls, doors where required, and stairs.
Tender submissions must include:
All cleaning work required ahead of painting, with associated costs.
A detailed price breakdown for all works.
Details of paint products/brands to be used and whether they are included in the tender or supplied separately.
Confirmation of all preparation work included.
Confirmation that all labour, materials, equipment, access equipment (where required), protection of furnishings, and site clean-up are included in the tender.
Estimated duration of the works.
Evidence of current Public Liability and Employer’s Liability Insurance.
All materials used must be of high quality and suitable for use in a church environment.
The Parish reserves the right to accept or reject any tender and is not obliged to accept the lowest or any tender submitted.
